We’re really getting into the holiday spirit over here! As you add a little sparkle to your tree, decorate your mantle and line your house with lights this holiday season, don’t forget to give your front door a little holiday cheer. Wreaths are a festive and easy way let the neighborhood know that you’re in the spirit! While classic holly and pine never go out of style, we love the unexpected touch of popcorn, yarn, gumdrops and even newspaper. Happy decorating! ~Claire

The final (and my favorite!) part of our inspirational photo shoot was an intimate garden reception at the gorgeous Clifton Inn. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful backdrop! The weather was so good to us (phew!) and everything came together just as we had envisioned. A very special thank you, again, to our amazing team and to What Junebug Loves and Elizabeth Anne Designs for featuring our photo shoot. It was an incredible experience and we’re already dreaming up the next one!

I had so much fun planning Emily + Hiram’s funky + elegant fiesta! Emily owns an Italian market on the Eastern shore and Hiram is from Mexico. I love how everything came together to honor their respective heritages. Fave part of the evening: District Taco arriving late night for a little street food action just outside of the Astor Terrace at the gorgeous St. Regis. ¡Salud, Emily + Hiram! A special thank you to Kate Headley for the gorgeous photos. xo- Kate

We’re having so much fun with our brides + grooms this year and can’t wait to share photos from each wedding! In the meantime, a little sneak peek of Jamie’s wedding at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort + Kate’s wedding at the St. Regis DC. More to come soon!

I had so much fun being a part of Shannon + Dave’s engagement session last month! Their e-session was filled with some of my favorite things: a smooshy face pup, pretty flowers, a picnic + ice cream. My kind of day! I hope you enjoy a little sneak peek of the photos (the full gallery can be found on the Holland Photos Arts blog). Thank you, S + D, for letting me tag along. I can’t wait for your big day this fall! xo

Thank you to Holland Photo Arts for sharing S + D’s beautiful images and to Holly Chapple Flowers for such a gorgeous bouquet!
We love a unique + clever boutonniere. What better way to spice up your groom’s attire than with a pinwheel or cotton bloom?! Add a fresh twist by using a succulent or cloth flower in lieu of a classic bloom. Bouts are a simple detail but are a great way to add a little personality to a traditional suit or tuxedo.

We love these adorable hankies from BHLDN. Such a sweet + clever way to ask your favorite ladies if they will.

I’m slightly obsessed with patterns. Chevron, ikat, quatrefoil – I love them all! These prints are a fun and fresh addition to wedding decor. Add a little punch through stationery, linens, vases, pillows or furniture!
