This past weekend marked the opening of the much-anticipated Great Gatsby film and we can’t help but be inspired by the sophisticated feel of the 1920′s. Luxe, gilded details add richness to a Gatsby-inspired affair and geometric art deco touches are the perfect compliment to elegant gowns + ornate paper suites.

Another season of beautiful gowns hit the NYC runways and we loved browsing images to find a few that stood out above the others. Silhouettes ranged from a modern fitted shape, to a classic fit-and-flare. One common element we adore is the level of detail in the design. From soft pleats to a structured bodice, each gown boasts a little something special to make it fit for a bride.
What better to be inspired by than this lovely Oscar de la Renta look from the Spring 2013 collection? It’s soft + pretty, just like some of our favorite wedding details. The slightly contrasting peachy-pinks + handmade floral appliques keep an otherwise monochromatic look from feeling too one-dimensional. Topped off with simple + fresh makeup, it’s the perfect spring inspiration!
