Being a native of the Washington, DC area, I grew up in a world that made me very aware of the importance of events. Inaugural balls, State dinners, White House holiday festivities – they all intrigued me in a way that nothing else did. To explore where this intrigue may take me, I decided to pursue a degree in Event Management. Upon graduation I began my career in the corporate event world, which by fate, lead me to my prince charming. It was the planning of our big day, which truly inspired me to pursue my dream. I wasn’t ready to let go of the feelings that I got from planning my own special day. After returning from a blissful honeymoon in Maui, Simply Chic Events was formed. There’s something magical about seeing a groom’s expression as his bride walks down the aisle, a band that makes you want to dance the night away and a couple who share an unconditional love for one another. Being in the presence of happy people makes me happy! I adore my clients and the planning experiences that we share. It’s because of them that I am able to live each day doing what I love most!
