Working with Shannon + Dave was a definite highlight of a busy fall wedding season. We instantly connected and had a ball throughout the planning process. I was even lucky enough to tag along on S + D’s engagement session with their adorable bulldog pup, Parker, last summer! Shannon envisioned a soft + romantic feel for their wedding day and, through the use of lush florals, feminine colors and lots of candlelight, we nailed it. Katie + John were married on a gorgeous fall day at one of my favorite venues, Woodend Sanctuary. They had the sweetest ceremony + celebration with close family and friends. Katie really put a lot of thought into the fun, personal details that helped make their day special. There were so many adorable children at this wedding. I had the pleasure of attending a lovely contest kick-off brunch, at Hitched Salon, last Friday and met the fabulous designer, Jorge Manuel. Not only is he completely sweet + adorable but his designs are unique and beyond stunning. Just perfect for our brides! You can submit your entry for the chance to win a custom-made, couture wedding gown by designer Jorge Manuel until March 17th. To enter, simply upload a fun photo of you + your honey, along with a brief explanation of your wedding style and why this year’s Eternal Flame gown would fit into your aesthetic.

Applications are available at www.jorgemanuelweddings.com and must be submitted online by March 17th, 2012. Finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges by March 26th, at which point voting from the public will begin. Winner will be chosen by a combination of votes by the judges and the general public. It’s no secret that I tend to become attached to my brides. I love getting to know them, their stories and developing a friendship. Kate and I worked on planning her wedding for a year and a half and by the end, I felt like a part of the family. I loved seeing the expression on guest’s faces as they entered the reception. Lots of dropping jaws. It was amazing! Thank you, Paul Morse for the beautiful images and to Kate + Jim for letting me be a part of such an amazing day. XO – Jamie
